Provaglio d’Iseo, January 2012 – Thanks to the constant focus on technological research and innovation, always the added value of Gefran products, today the MK4-A magnetostrictive profile version transducer series is available with ONDA (wave) technology, the solution patented by Gefran and characterised by sensor’s structural simplicity.

The extension of ONDA technology to the MK4-A series allows an excellent price/performance ratio, making it more competitive and efficient. As a result, it is now possible to obtain the typical benefits of the MK4-A series even in the applications which, in the past, were restricted by the considerable cost of the magnetostrictive technology.

Among the main features of the MK4-A series with ONDA technology, which ensure new performance levels, the values of accuracy stand out: strokes’ linearity less than ±0.02% FS and infinite resolution of 0.01 mm guarantee a highly accurate measurement.

The IP67 structure of the transducer remains unchanged, ensuring optimisation of space (completely flat surface) and allowing the choice of options (cursors and mounting brackets) that guarantee compatibility with most installation conditions. All types of existing connections continue to be available in the MK4 series: DIN 45322 6-pin connectors, DIN45326 8-pin connectors, M12 5 or 8-pin connectors or PVC output cable in different lengths.

Similarly, there are all the main analogue voltage and current interfaces with the choice of dual output including direct+inverse, position+speed or double cursor. All options are available on all MK4-A models with ONDA technological solution, for the entire range of stroke lengths, from 50 mm to 4000 mm.

Thanks to these performances, the MK4-A ONDA series is the ideal solution for plastic injection and blowing machines and also for all sectors of material processing in general: from machines for metal processing and secondary processing of wood to packaging machines and the paper industry.
