Thanks to the extreme reliability and robustness of the new KS Series industrial pressure transducers, Gefran has also obtained SIL2 certification from the German accredited TÜV Rheinland laboratory.

Based on thick film on steel technology, this type of transducer is a simple device that is compact, shock and vibration resistant, and ideal for numerous hydraulic and pneumatic applications.

SIL2 certification of KS pressure transducers, obtained in accordance with IEC/EN 62061:2005 safety of machinery technical standards, will enable the devices to be used in safety systems complying with the current Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, which defines the Essential Health and Safety Requirements (EHSR) for all types of machinery.

The KS probe, without filling oil and o-ring, is made entirely from stainless steel and provides a technological level guaranteed by Gefran's forty years of experience in industrial process automation.

Its latest-generation electronics offer amplified outputs in both current (4-20 mA) and in voltage, while the operating temperature of the process fluid has been increased to -40°C … +125°C, ensuring excellent stability in the compensated range.

A wide choice of measurement fields is available: from 0…1 bar up to 0…1000 bar, with <0.5%FS accuracy (including Non-Linearity, Hysteresis, Repeatability and Zero and Full-scale Offset).

SIL2 certified versions of all products, from the 0-10 bar measurement field onwards, are provided as standard.
